Don't we all! These days it seems as if everyone is in need of funding, including the almost
closed federal government! In our line of business, funding is a requirement but obtaining funding requires finding the right opportunity, serious writing effort, and a healthy dose of luck.
The Neuroscience Information Framework currently indexes funding information from
Grants.gov,
NIH RePORTER and
Research Crossroads. Grants.gov provides funding opportunities, whereas NIH RePORTER and Research Crossroads provide information on awarded grants.
After searching NIF, funding results will appear within the Data Federation under Data Type > Grants, as well as under the Grants tab (shown below).

Thanks to the NIFSTD ontology, your search will be enhanced by ontological synonyms and relationships.
For more specific information on each funding resource, please visit our tutorial pages for
NIH RePORTER and
Research Crossroads. As always, feel free to
contact the NIF team for any questions comments and concerns as well as check out our
forum to join the community discussion.
Inside NIF appears every Wednesday on the NIF Blog. Join us each Wednesday to learn more about what’s happening at
NIF, your
Neuroscience Information Framework.
