Comments: ERK5-AEF was added by shuttling the NheI(blunted)-NotI cDNA fragments from a previously described pCI plasmid construct (Kasler et al, 2000) into pBS-IRES and then cloning the NotI fragments into the NotI site of the MSCV-puro vector. Addgene sequencing results found an additional L->V point mutation at residue 188. This is a conservative change and depositor says this should not alter the function of this construct.
