DTU Center for Biological Sequence Analysis (RRID:SCR_003590) CBS, DTU CBS software resource, data access protocol, service resource, production service resource, web service, analysis service resource Center for Biological Sequence Analysis of the Technical University of Denmark conducts basic research in the field of bioinformatics and systems biology and directs its research primarily towards topics related to the elucidation of the functional aspects of complex biological mechanisms. A large number of computational methods have been produced, which are offered to others via WWW servers. Several data sets are also available. The center also has experimental efforts in gene expression analysis using DNA chips and data generation in relation to the physical and structural properties of DNA. The on-line prediction services at CBS are available as interactive input forms. Most of the servers are also available as stand-alone software packages with the same functionality. In addition, for some servers, programmatic access is provided in the form of SOAP-based Web Services. The center also educates engineering students in biotechnology and systems biology and offers a wide range of courses in bioinformatics, systems biology, human health, microbiology and nutrigenomics. nucleotide, sequence, amino acid, dna, microarray, molecule, immunology, protein function, protein structure, protein, post-translational, whole genome, sequence analysis has parent organization: Technical University of Denmark; Lyngby; Denmark

SignalP (RRID:SCR_015644) web application, software resource Web application for prediction of the presence and location of signal peptide cleavage sites in amino acid sequences from different organisms. The method incorporates a prediction of cleavage sites and a signal peptide/non-signal peptide prediction based on a combination of several artificial neural networks. prediction, signal peptide, cleavage site, amino acid, sequence, artificial neural network is listed by: SoftCite

NESbase (RRID:SCR_003268) NESbase storage service resource, service resource, data repository, data or information resource, database Database of proteins in which the presence of Leucine-rich nuclear export signal (NES) has been experimentally verified. It is curated from literature. Each NESbase entry contains information of whether NES was shown to be necessary and/or sufficient for export, and whether the export was shown to be mediated by the export receptor CRM1. The compiled information was used to make a sequence logo of the Leucine-rich NESs, displaying the conservation of amino acids within a window of 25 residues. Error reports and submissions of new data are most welcome! nuclear export signal, protein, leucine has parent organization: DTU Center for Biological Sequence Analysis Danish National Research Foundation ;

O-GLYCBASE (RRID:SCR_003288) O-GlycBase storage service resource, service resource, data repository, data or information resource, database Revised database of O- and C-glycosylated proteins. The criteria for inclusion are at least one experimentally verified O- or C-glycosylation site. Each entry contains information about the glycan involved, the species, sequence, a literature reference and http-linked cross-references to other databases. Version 6.00 has 242 glycoprotein entries. The terminal sugar linked to serine or threonine is cited when known. The database is non-redundant in the sense that it contains no identical sequences, unless there is conflicting glycosylation data. Mucins have tandem repeat sequences, which are O-glycosylated. This result in some redundancy of the O-glycosylation sites. For prediction purposes they have also included a version of the database which contains no identical O-glycosylation sites (window=9) called O-Unique.seq. Data can no longer be retrieved by anonymous ftp. Only http is supported. New data, comments and suggestions are welcome. glycosylated protein, glycoprotein, serine, threonine, o-glycosylation site, c-glycosylation site, carbohydrate, o-glycan, asparagine, glycosylation, glycan has parent organization: DTU Center for Biological Sequence Analysis PMID:9847232 Free, Freely available nif-0000-03209 http://www.cbs.dtu.dk/databases/OGLYCBASE/ SCR_003288 2026-08-06 09:25:51 12

  4. Searching

    Here is the search term that is being executed, you can type in anything you want to search for. Some tips to help searching:

    1. Use quotes around phrases you want to match exactly
    2. You can manually AND and OR terms to change how we search between words
    3. You can add "-" to terms to make sure no results return with that term in them (ex. Cerebellum -CA1)
    4. You can add "+" to terms to require they be in the data
    5. Using autocomplete specifies which branch of our semantics you with to search and can help refine your search
