Comments: This T-B18 E.coli strain harbors the pETM6_Ptrc_BsMdh_BmHps_BmPhi plasmid (Addgene plasmid # 129104), which enables the evolved E. coli strain to metabolize methanol in its central carbon metabolism. It was adaptively evolved from the parent strain, E. coli BW25113 ΔfrmA::kanR (obtained from the Keio collection) containing Addgene plasmid # 129104 such that it grows efficiently with just 2mM Thr and 250 mM MeOH.
This strain has been functionally validated for growth by the depositing laboratory. Addgene has not confirmed the plasmid by QC sequence analysis.

Comments: Please note that there are minor differences between the Addgene verified result and the depositor's reference sequence (under the supplemental documents section). Please refer to the Addgene NGS result for more accurate sequence information. These differences do not affect the plasmid function.

Can't find your Plasmid?
We recommend that you click next to the search bar to check some helpful tips on searches and refine your search firstly. If you want to find a specific plasmid, it's easier to enter an RRID or an Addgene Catalog Number to search. You can refine the search results using Facets on the left side of the search results page. If you are on the table view, you can also search in a specific column by clicking the column title and enter the keywords.
If you still could not find your plasmid in the search results, please help us by registering it into the system — it's easy. Register it with Addgene.
