Core facility that provides logistic support to investigators examining autoimmune or type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) or other endocrine autoimmunities. Its main purpose is to foster fundamental studies on T1DM through support for acquisition and use of diabetogenic strains of mice, islet isolation, and distribution of cells and antibodies relevant for immunological studies of T1DM.
