Description: Core facility that provides the following services: Data management service, SNP genotyping service. The Genetics Core was established in 1991 with the aim of promoting and facilitating genetic studies of diabetes and its complications in humans at the Joslin Diabetes Center and collaborating institutions. More than 1,000 DNA samples from human subjects have been collected in these years and are available to researchers. The Genetics Core also provides services assisting investigators in the use of these samples. Investigators wishing to use the Core resources should contact Dr. Alessandro Doria by phone at x4340 or (617) 732-2406, or by e-mail. A detailed project description is required for the use of DNA samples. There is no restriction on the Core access.
