Description: St. Gallen Lung Biopsy Biobank is a tissue and blood sample collation (biobank) of all patients willing to give informed consent, who are undergoing bronchoscopy and/or surgical lung resection in their diagnostic pathway for any pulmonary disease. The special feature of the proposed biobank is the collection of endobronchial biopsies, blood, and molecularly defined cell populations from tumor tissue in a quality suitable for mRNA and other protein expression techniques, which is not possible by standard biobanks.
