The option of donation is available to both men and women, up to the age of 95. Since 1990, the South Dakota Lions Eye Bank has restored sight to over 5500 people world wide. In recent statistics the South Dakota Lions Eye Bank has transplanted 2217 corneas since 2001; 1237 transplanted in the United States and 980 transplanted overseas. It is the fondest hope of the South Dakota Lions Eye Bank that you will become an eye, tissue and organ donor and pass along to someone the greatest gift of all, Life.
