Proper Citation: GeneTex Cat# GTX13773, RRID:AB_369444
Target Antigen: CHFR antibody
Host Organism: goat
Clonality: polyclonal
Comments: Discontinued; manufacturer recommendations: IgG; IgG Preliminary experiments gave an approx 80kDa band in human brain lysates at 0.5ug/ml, this band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunising peptide. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the predicted size of approx. 72kDda according to NP_060693. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any further splice variants/modified forms been reported? In paraffin embedded human brain (cerebellum) shows stained Purkinje cells. Recommended concentration, 2.5µg/ml. This antibody is expected to recognise all reported isoforms. dkNET can assist you in preparing authentication plans for antibodies to comply with the NIH Submission Policy. The information can be used while planning your experiments or submitting grant applications. The authentication plan for antibodies is based on methods suggested in "A proposal for validation of antibodies" (Uhlen M et. al., 2016), the guideline published in the Journal of Comparative Neurology (Saper C, 2005)(2), and the example " Authentication of of Key Biological and/or Chemical Resources "(Bandrowski A). For best practices for authenticating antibodies, check our Authentication Reports services.
