Proper Citation: GeneTex Cat# GTX88299, RRID:AB_10719549
Target Antigen: DTX2 / Deltext-2 antibody
Host Organism: goat
Clonality: polyclonal
Comments: Discontinued; manufacturer recommendations: ELISA; Preliminary experiments gave an approx 85kDa band in lysates of cell lines A549, HepG2 and NIH3T3 after 0.3µg/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 67.2kDa according to NP_065943.2. The 85kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any further splice variants/modified forms been reported? This antibody is expected to recognize both reported isoforms (NP_065943.2; NP_001096066.1). Reported variants NP_001096065.1, NP_065943.2, NP_001096064.1 represent identical protein. ELISA.

dkNET can assist you in preparing authentication plans for antibodies to comply with the NIH Submission Policy. The information can be used while planning your experiments or submitting grant applications. The authentication plan for antibodies is based on methods suggested in "A proposal for validation of antibodies" (Uhlen M et. al., 2016), the guideline published in the Journal of Comparative Neurology (Saper C, 2005)(2), and the example " Authentication of of Key Biological and/or Chemical Resources "(Bandrowski A). For best practices for authenticating antibodies, check our Authentication Reports services.
