URL: http://antibodyregistry.org/AB_2722756

Proper Citation: Ken-ichi Miyamoto; Tokushima University; Japan Cat# NaPi2 2011, RRID:AB_2722756

Target Antigen: NaPi-2

Host Organism: rabbit

Clonality: polyclonal

Comments: "An antibody was raised against a peptide that represented amino acid sequences (Leu-Ala-Leu-Pro-Ala-His-His-Asn Ala-Thr-Arg-Leu) in the C-terminal region of the Na-P; cotransporter (321-331), corresponding to a putative C terminal intracellular domain (8). An N-terminal cystein residue was introduced for conjugation with keyhole limpet hemocyanine (KLH, Sigma, St Louis, MO) using m-male imidobenzoyl-N-hydroxysuccinimide ester (MBS). The conjugates (100ug of peptide) were mixed with Freund's complete adjuvant and injected sc into rabbits 4 times at 2-week intervals. In the affinity purification by use of a gel column (Cellulofine, Seikagaku-Kogyo, Tokyo), the anti serum (10ml) was loaded on the gel coupled with the peptide and the NaPi-2 antibodies were eluted with 0.1M glycine-HCI (pH 2.5), neutralized, dialyzed, and stored at -80°C."

Authentication Plan

dkNET can assist you in preparing authentication plans for antibodies to comply with the NIH Submission Policy. The information can be used while planning your experiments or submitting grant applications. The authentication plan for antibodies is based on methods suggested in "A proposal for validation of antibodies" (Uhlen M et. al., 2016), the guideline published in the Journal of Comparative Neurology (Saper C, 2005)(2), and the example " Authentication of of Key Biological and/or Chemical Resources "(Bandrowski A). For best practices for authenticating antibodies, check our Authentication Reports services.
