Comments: Described in Yamazaki et al., J Cell Biol (1995): "To produce an antibody against KIF3B, the recombinant full-length KIF3B protein was used. Purified KIF3B was injected into rabbits four times and the rabbits were bled. The serum was then affinity purified us- ing a KIF3B-bound activated Thiol-Sepharose 4B affinity column (Phar- macia Inc.). Western blotting of the final antibodies was carried out to confirm no cross-reaction with KIF3A. For the motility inhibition assay, purified antibodies were dialyzed against a PEM buffer (0.1 M Pipes, pH 6.8, 1mM EGTA, i mM MgC12)."
