Proper Citation: GeneTex Cat# GTX89533, RRID:AB_10724909
Target Antigen: ADAM33 antibody
Host Organism: goat
Clonality: polyclonal
Comments: Discontinued; manufacturer recommendations: Experiments gave bands at approx 80-90kDa and strong ladder from 26 to 38kDa in Human Prostate lysates after 0.3µg/ml antibody staining. The observation of multiple bands and the 38 kDa band correspond to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Powell et al, Am J Respir Cell Mol Biol. 2004 Jul;31(1):13-21; PMID: 14742294). This protein has a calculated MW of 87.7kDa according to NP_079496.1. Recommended concentration: 0.1-0.3µg/ml. This antibody is expected to recognise isoform alpha (NP_079496.1) and not isoform beta (NP_694882.1). ELISA, Western Blot.; ELISA; Western Blot

dkNET can assist you in preparing authentication plans for antibodies to comply with the NIH Submission Policy. The information can be used while planning your experiments or submitting grant applications. The authentication plan for antibodies is based on methods suggested in "A proposal for validation of antibodies" (Uhlen M et. al., 2016), the guideline published in the Journal of Comparative Neurology (Saper C, 2005)(2), and the example " Authentication of of Key Biological and/or Chemical Resources "(Bandrowski A). For best practices for authenticating antibodies, check our Authentication Reports services.
