SEARCH TIPS | WHAT IS THIS? (example searches: cerebellum, "pulvinar nucleus", gene:grm1)
The NITRC-IR is an XNAT-based image repository for data hosted at NITRC. Data is included from the ‘1000 Functional Connectomes’ (http://www.nitrc.org/projects/fcon_1000) project in a searchable format. This data includes resting state fMRI and structural imaging from 1288 subjects from over 30 imaging sites. Additional demographics include gender, age, field strength and resting state acquisition TR (repetition time). All of the data is freely available to download.
This tutorial will show how to view and obtain images. Additional information can be found on the NITRC-IR page of the NITRC User Guide.
Since this dataset primarily concerns MRI, most of the records will come up if MRI is used as a key word. In the future, as NITRC-IR grows new datasets will be added and MRI data will be made available for other diseases and normal controls.

Below are the results from NITRC-IR central under the category Data Type: Images

Clicking on the subject ID link will bring the user to the NITRC-IR site, where more information from that particular subject is housed, including MRI images. Below, we have clicked on the first subject, a right handed, 68 year old female with mild resting state images at 3 Tesla.

The user can then see the details of the images by ‘opening’ (click on the ‘+’ symbol next to each image):

The images can be selected for download by selecting the ‘Download’ option under the ‘Actions’ tool box in the upper right of the screen.
