The Cell: An Image Library is a freely accessible, easy-to-search, public repository of vetted and annotated images, videos, and animations of cells from a variety of organisms, showcasing cell architecture, intracellular functionalities, and both normal and abnormal processes. 

To access The Cell: An Image Library data through NIF, begin by searching for a Cellular Component or Biological process.  Below we search for Cell-Cell Junction

Results for The Cell; An Image Library can be found under;

Data Federation > Data Type > Images

Image, File Name, Subject Type, Attribution, Image Description, Cellular Component and Biological Process are displayed and searchable.  Upon finding a image of interest, users are able to click the image to be taken to that record at The Cell; An Image Library.
