For up to date issues or problems with this database please see the wiki.

The NIF view of the Brede database contains Talairach coordinate data from functional neuroimaging articles and these data can be visualized on a brain model in 3D.

The raw Talairach coordinates are listed for each task as well as the technique.

To find data from this data set, one may search for any number of behavioral tasks or brain regions.

In the example below we searched for video as many of the tasks involve viewing videos.

We look below under ‘Nervous system level’ and ‘Nervous system function’ to see the Brede data.

Note, the study description is a short title that describes the specific activation or deactivation focus, while the general task is listed in the next column. The specific Talairach coordinates (XYZ) are also listed as well as the publication title. Clicking on the title leads to Pubmed and is not shown here, but clicking on the study description leads to Brede.

Below is the result of clicking on the first study description, which describes an activation focus, which decreases during viewing of a conditioned snake and spider video.  The focus is also shown on the 3D coordinate atlas, and a great deal more data can be found in this window including links to other studies that either correlate or do not correlate with this study.
